There are 2 methods of doing a hard reset on Samsung Smart phones.
First method to hard-reset through settings:
This is the most simple and easy method and is possible if you are able to access the menu and go to settings.
In the menu, go to the settings option.Now go to the option ‘Backup Ad Restore’ and select it.Now select the ‘Factory Data Reset’ option.Now select ‘Reset Phone’ option.The device may ask for a confirmation again ‘Erase Everything’. Confirm and the process will start. It will then restart.Second method to hard-reset through key combinations:
The device will now be formatted. After this select the option – reboot system now by pressing the power button.This method is for those who cannot access the menu due to pattern lock or booting related problems.
Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Button
Switch off your Samsung Mobiles.Now press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons.Press and hold the Power button until the phone vibrates.Wait until you see the android logo. When it appears, release all the buttons.You will see an option – Wipe data/Factory reset. Navigate to this option with volume down button. Select this option with power button.Now come to the option – delete all user data with volume down option and select it with power button.
